As far as I know — I only spent 1 night in Punxsutawney. I guess that’s good news, although I’ll have to spend many lifetimes practicing what Phil Conners finally realized. I could write a chapter on the metaphor used in that movie and how each of the lessons he learned by repeating the same day over and over is how each of us needs to think of the opportunities for soul improvement we are presented in our own lifetimes. Maybe someday I can get that on paper.
On a different note — I was looking at the Garmin Connect app that I have on my phone. There is an amazing amount of information available. The graph above shows the elevation changes on my Day 8 ride. In my post yesterday, I mentioned the 20% grade. I think you can see that on the graph. I couldn’t believe it when I saw this. Notice also the descent just before it — that was a blast!!! I had to slow my bike to keep it under 40 mph on the twisty road I was on. I could’t wait to share this.
I’m getting ready for the Day 9 ride from Punxsutawney to Clearfield. Looks like another good riding day. Cheers!
Let me know when you arrive in Hope.
I think Saturday sometime! I was going to stay at the Jenny Jump State Park but I’m not camping anymore so I need to find a hotel near there. Any recommendations?
I hope you mean Phil Conners π
Oops! Yes! I’m fixing that now π
Wow! Thatβs a lot of elevation change! Fun!
No kidding!!!
