Dennis Howell is a 9th generation American. That fact* took a long time to figure out with a lot of road blocks and wrong turns along the way.
The intent of this website is to share the results of the family search and tell stories of how it all unfolded.
Of particular interest is a letter I was given by my 6th cousin, Janel Howell, describing a portion of an 1816 journey on horseback from New Jersey to Ontario to visit cousins, through Michigan and Ohio for adventure, and then back to New Jersey to get home.
